This is me on my Fazer, back in the days (2005-2009) when I used to rent motorcycles, do motorcycle tour guiding and pan european deliveries. It's a hard way to make a living, and god, I'm glad I don't have to do it any more! Respect to those brave souls that still do it and have placed ads on this site.

Although quite a few of my websites still exist and I must tidy them up one day. There are currently two main ones I operate: Biker Friendly accommodation and this one for Motorbike Hire Info. The idea is to make it easy to plan your motorcycle tours and rentals - whether you pick a guided tour or a straight hire of a bike.

I have always felt it could be a lot easier to plan this type of trip - and this site is supposed to make it easier.

The big plus is the interactive map - you have to register to see that, and ask questions. Please accept my apologies for the registration thing, it would be a much better world if it wasn't necessary for people to prove they are genuine - but in this age of spamming and general abuse on websites - it's a measure I felt I should take.

One of the things I believe is that not enough people consider renting bikes as a first option. Well, they do if they're crossing continents, or taking long haul flights to get to their destination - part of that is that some bike websites are very hard to find, another reason is that motorcycle hire is thought to be expensive. I think most Bike hire actually represents extraordinary value, and so do many guided motorcycle tours. As ever, ask the right questions and you will get the right answers.

Actually, renting a bike should be your first choice - most people don't drive down to their holiday destinations - they rent!
